§ 1-16. Amendments or additions to Code.

(a)

All ordinances of a general and permanent nature, and amendments to such ordinances, enacted or presented to the city council for enactment shall be drafted, so far as possible, as specific amendment of, or additions to this Code, and when done shall be a part of this Code. Amendments to this Code shall be made by reference to the applicable chapter, article or section of this Code which is to be amended, and additions shall bear an appropriate designation of such chapter, article and section.

(b)

All sections, articles, chapters, or provisions desired to be repealed shall be specifically repealed by section, article or chapter number, as the case may be.
